Cooper Union Residency, MacDowell Colony

1. Cooper Union School of Art Summer Residency Program

-"ideally suited to emerging artists who seek a focused period of time with their ongoing artwork, an outlet for interaction with other artists, and critical feedback. The program exposes residents to key artworld figures and provides optional seminars and events that enrich beyond studio pursuits. Residents will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in New York at Cooper Union"
-one month long (June), costs $5000
2. MacDowell Colony (located in NH)
http://www.macdowellcolony.org/
-non-profit, largest and oldest artist colony in America
-does not cost anything to attend, applications are accepted 3 times a year and typically artists stay up from 4-8 week **1 week here=4 weeks of productivity outside
